Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. Throughout his letter to Timothy, Paul has repeated this theme of “trustworthy” statements. (1 Tim. 1:15; 3:1)
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

“especially” - to an unusual degree, most of all, above all, especially, particularly. This word will become more important in our next study, as we look to those that minister to the needs of the House of God.
